The ADA supplements its previous submission on the Australia-European Union Free Trade Agreement to comment on the possibility of additional provisions being added to the AEUFTA as a result of EU legal changes arising from the Digital Single Market Directive.
In particular, the ADA feels it would be premature for Australia to make commitments on untried measures relating to news publishers’ rights and intermediary liability for platforms.
